Getting Started: Changing Length of Hosting Cycle

If you want to change the length of your hosting cycle, then this is referred to as a “billing cycle” change. There are a few simple things to remember when you are talking to us regarding a hosting, or billing cycle change.

If you are a new user and you are signing up for a GreenGeeks Web Hosting Plan, then you get the introductory price of the hosting cycle you selected. For example, here are your initial options:

  • Monthly
  • Yearly
  • 2-Years
  • 3-Years

If you sign up for a 3-year term, then you get that rate for 3 years. After that, you will be billed the regular rate for the service. The same applies to the 2-year plan.

Note: You have the option of signing up for monthly plans right away at the full rate.

If you are a current user, and you would like to shorten or extend the life of your hosting cycle, then you can do so at any time by Contacting GreenGeeks Support and talking to someone.

Note: If you are terminating a previous plan and extending to another longer hosting cycle, only prorated credit will be applied to the new plan.

If you want to change your hosting cycle plan and you are a new customer, then you have that option within a 30-day window and still get the full initial pricing for the new cycle.

If you want to jump between hosting account types, i.e. from a WordPress Hosting Account to a VPS Hosting Account, and want to see if you can retain initial cycle pricing, please Contact Support to see if you are eligible.
